I saw you wave, giving me the all-clear to pass, and then I watched as you tipped your hat, wiping away the sweat from your brow.
I saw how it trickled below the back of your shirt, a testament to the hard work you put in every day.
Don’t worry about me being behind you; I’m here with my hazard lights on, following at your pace until you’re ready to turn off.
When you glanced back that second time, noticing my lights and giving me a grateful wave, it made me smile.
